Slide or tap each sound.
Then blend it into a word.

Slide the dot under c-a-t, or tap each letter, to hear each sound - then blend them into a word. Listen plays the sounds; Speak stays quiet so your child reads aloud.

No word recordings found yet, so Blend it is stitching the three letters together for now. Record each whole word in your own voice and drop it in audio/word/ as cat.mp3, dog.mp3, … - see audio/word/RECORDING.txt. This note disappears once the clips are there.

For grown-ups

Slide the dot under each letter

For grown-ups: say the sounds clean and short - /k/ /a/ /t/, never “cuh-a-tuh.” Then say them faster and faster until they slide into cat. Let your child slide the dot under c-a-t, then press Blend it together.
